DOTs/Parking Structures

Overview

NASi Transportation & Mining offers a range of quality products to help you keep roads, pathways, and parking lots clear.

The attributes that make NASi products so effective for critical applications at airports also apply to bridges, pathways, parking decks, transload facilities, and industrial and commercial complexes. NASi products are effective in the most extreme winter conditions below temperatures where other products stop working. They are environmentally friendly and are inherently less corrosive to assets than traditional chloride salts. Winter conditions are tough to predict but NASi’s supply chain footprint ensures that products are always close to you when they are needed the most. NASi helps you strike the right balance for your snow and ice removal needs.

By the end of the last decade, nearly 200,000 of the nation’s roughly 600,000 highway bridges were 50 years old or older. By 2030, that number could double without substantial bridge replacement. At the current rates of aging and replacement, almost half of the nation’s bridges will require major structural investments within the next 15 years.

THE
PROBLEM

DETERIORATION OF MAJOR STRUCTURES

BRIDGES & ROADWAYS
According to Transportation for America, the need for bridge repair is growing faster than government funding as the average age of an American bridge is 42 years, many exceeding their expected lifespan of 50 years. Our bridges and roadways are major investments that directly effect our future economic prosperity.

PARKING LOTS
A lot of factors such as design, construction, traffic load, and geographic location helps determine the life expectancy of a parking lot. Without proper maintenance a parking lot can start deteriorating significantly in as little as 5 years.
